Paint Color Review is run by Faizan Iftikhar. The site exists to answer one question before you spend money on paint: how will this color actually look on my wall?
What the site does
Every color review starts from the paint maker's own color record: the code, hex value, RGB and light reflectance value (LRV). From those numbers Faizan measures each color's undertone, shows how it shifts in north, south, east and west light, and ranks its closest matches in other brands by measured color difference. Comparison pages put two colors side by side and explain which suits which room.
Independence
Paint Color Review is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or paid by Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore or any other paint brand, and no color is reviewed or ranked in exchange for payment. Brand and color names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the colors being reviewed.
How the reviews are made
The full method, including where the data comes from and how undertones and color differences are calculated, is on the How we review colors page. The images on the site are original illustrations drawn from each color's manufacturer values; see the image license for how you can use them.
Corrections
Paint makers occasionally update their color data. Every review shows the date its numbers were last checked, and reviews are updated when the source data changes.
