Best uses for Repose Gray
Repose Gray works well in living rooms, offices and bedrooms with cool or mixed finishes: white marble, chrome, black metal and blue-gray textiles. It is a reliable whole-house gray when you want walls to read as gray rather than beige.
Repose Gray is listed for exterior use too. Outdoors, sun makes it look lighter and cooler, so on a facade it reads as a pale stone gray. Pair it with white trim and a charcoal door from its own strip.
When to avoid Repose Gray
Repose Gray is not the right choice for a warm, cozy scheme with creamy whites, honey oak or yellow-toned stone: beside them it reads cold. In a north-facing room under cool LED bulbs it can pick up a blue-gray cast. If you want warmth, Agreeable Gray (SW 7029) is the warmer neighbor.
